Feta is a sheep's milk cheese from Greece. The variant that we stock is organic and is made in Lesbos, a Greek island located in the northeastern Aegean Sea.
Feta is tangy and mildly salty in taste; soft and crumbly in texture. One of the most popular Greek cheeses, it is used as a table cheese, mixed into salads, crumbled into a dip, cooked with spinach and eggs to make omelettes, grilled together with Mediterranean skewers ... and the list goes on. There are so many ways to prepare and serve feta cheese - which proves that feta is an irresistible cheese that is well-loved by many!
Feta is best paired with Greek olives and roasted peppers. It also goes well with beer, Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling.
